How Boovie makes films
Keeping Characters Consistent
The hardest problem in generated film, and how we approach it.
One actor, one look
On a real production a character is one actor. If they get muddy or hurt, that is part of the performance, not a different person. We work the same way: each character has one approved reference look, and changes like dirt, injury or costume are directed in the shot.
Props and places remember
Objects and locations get their own references too, so a cave painting, a phone or a courtroom stays the same object from shot to shot. Where a thing genuinely changes over a story — a painting being finished — each stage is its own approved look.
Continuity between takes
A take can begin from the final frame of the one before, so action flows across a cut. It is a tool, not a rule: sometimes a clean new angle is the better choice.
