How Boovie makes films

AI Filmmaking at Boovie

People direct. New tools render. The story comes first.

What 'AI film' means here

Every Boovie film is written, cast, directed and edited by people. Generative video tools render the shots we design — the way a camera and a crew would on a conventional set.

The tools are fast, but they are not storytellers. Left alone they drift: faces change, props vanish, scenes forget what came before. Most of the craft is keeping them on story.

Directing shot by shot

A scene is planned as a sequence of short takes, each with its own direction: who is in frame, what they do, what the camera does, what we hear. Takes are reviewed like dailies; most are rejected. Only approved takes make the cut.

Why short-form first

Short scenes let us test a story on screen quickly and honestly. A strong two-minute scene is worth more than a long film nobody finishes.
