The story in one page
Major Richard Hannay, recovering from the Battle of Loos, is recruited to track a secret message concerning 'Greenmantle,' a looming threat to the British. Joined by an American named Blenkiron, a Boer scout, and the master-of-disguise Sandy, Hannay goes undercover as a Dutchman. He navigates a German munitions train, survives interrogation by the imposing Colonel Stumm, and infiltrates Constantinople’s clandestine circles. The mission revolves around Hilda von Einem, a German aristocrat attempting to leverage a dying prophet to ignite a widespread insurgency. As the Russian army converges on the Turkish city of Erzerum, the team must expose the false prophecy before the unrest takes hold.
