Place facts

Names, addresses, locations, opening hours, websites and listed amenities (Wi-Fi, seating, step-free access) come from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. We use the public U.S. extract published by Geofabrik; we do not use paid map services.

Our stored place list is a database adapted from OpenStreetMap, so it stays under the ODbL. You can download that data here, free, under the same licence.

Cities

Each place belongs to the official U.S. Census Bureau city or town whose boundary it sits in (2023 Census boundaries and population estimates). Metro areas are shown only as extra context — a city keeps its own page.

Boovie Reader Fit

Reader Fit is Boovie's own guide. Badges with a solid outline are listed facts. Badges with a dotted outline are Boovie's judgement from the type of place (for example, that libraries have quiet reading rooms) — not something a visitor reported. Missing information is left blank. Reader Fit is not a user rating; Boovie Reader Ratings will be kept separate.
